The New York Times op-eds

In 2005, the New York Times asked Civic Strategies President Otis White to write articles about urban issues for its op-ed page. He wrote two. The first, in September 2005, was about the need for high-speed passenger rail outside the Northeast. The second, the following June, was about the decline of bankers as civic leaders.

Leadership quotes

"Where there is no vision, the people perish."

Proverbs 29:18

"Great leaders are almost always great simplifiers, who can cut through argument, debate, and doubt to offer a solution everybody can understand."

Colin Powell
